Not all TDS meters are created equal. Some lose their Calibration Quickly and can't be adjusted.
Digital TDS Meter (Water Hardness Gauge)
Our Digital TDS Meter is a quick and effective tool to measure the water hardness from your garden hose or tap. Water hardness is determined by checking the TDS (total dissolved solids) which is measured in PPM (parts per million). The TDS is the total amount of all minerals, salts and metals present in water - and is responsible for water spotting left on the surface of your vehicle or windows after washing.
This Digital TDS Meter measures from 0-9999ppm and has a +/-2% accuracy. It also has an in built temperature function which measures from 0-50°C.
Includes 2x LR44 batteries.
If your water shows from 0-20ppm it will not show water spots on the surface. 20-50ppm will leave minor spots and could etch the glass or paint work over time depending on the exact make up of the water. 50-100ppm is a normal NZ reading and will leave spots Guaranteed. Always be ready to change Filters and Resin before expiry, the general rule of thumb is 10ppm because the reading will jump up quite quickly when the resin is exhausted.
Very happy with the product. Its exactly as described on the website. I've done numerous tests on a number of water sources and have got some amazing (and concerning results)! Definitely recommend the product!
This is a really cool meter, I use it to help me get a good reading for making colloidal silver, interesting to see how many particles are already in my water supplies I have tested, i don't really understand it, but it works well.
